New Printer Setup Tips

To set up your SATO printer, follow these steps:

1. Connect the power cord to the printer and plug it into an electrical outlet.

2. Power on the printer by pressing the power button.

3. Complete the initial setup using the Startup Guide on the printer's screen. This will guide you through:

   • Language selection

   • Region and city settings (if your printer has the optional RTC kit)

   • Date and time settings

   • Print method selection

   • Ribbon and media setup

   • Media sensor type configuration4

4. Connect the printer to your computer:

   • For Windows: Use a USB 2.0 cable to connect the printer. Windows should automatically download the driver. If not, download and install the appropriate driver from the SATO website.

   • For Mac: Download and install the SATO CUPS driver, then connect the printer to your Mac.

5. Install the printer driver on your computer if it hasn't been done automatically.

6. Configure the interface settings on the printer to match your connection type (USB, Ethernet, etc.).

7. Use the SATO All-In-One Tool utility software on your computer for advanced printer configuration and management. This tool allows you to easily set up and manage multiple SATO printers across your network.
