Infrared communication procedure
・Infrared communication specification: Version 1.2 compliant
1) With the printer facing forward, open the DC input terminal cover located on the right-hand side, and set the DIP switches (DSW) as follows:
・DSW-1 = ON
・DSW-2 = OFF
・DSW-3 = OFF
・DSW-4 = OFF
2) Place the printer within 15-20 cm of an IrDA-enabled laptop or handheld terminal.
3) Align the communication device so that it is positioned within ±30 degrees (cone-shaped area) from the center of the infrared window located to the right of the power button.
NOTE: Communication may fail under direct sunlight or strong lighting.
